starting the journey.

everything in this box exists to get your dose from a sealed vial into the pen, cleanly and calmly. the four steps below put every piece in order. open the glossary if a word is new. read it once before you open anything, then work through it slowly the first time.

wellness glossary
compound
what you were prescribed or sourced, supplied as a dry powder in a sealed glass vial. it cannot be dosed as a powder, so it is reconstituted, meaning mixed back into a liquid with bac water, before the pen can use it.
bac water
bacteriostatic water. sterile water with a little preservative in it, so the vial stays clean after a needle goes in. it is the only water used here. never tap, bottled, filtered or distilled.
syringes
the barrels with numbers up the side. they measure the bac water and move it where you want it.
transfer needles
the long ones. they move liquid between vials only. one of them becomes your vent.
filters
a membrane disc fine enough to pass liquid and hold back bacteria and specks. clear liquid can carry both, invisibly, so filtering is never optional here.
cartridge
the small glass tube that holds your finished mix and clicks into the pen.
pen needles
the short fine needle that screws onto the pen. a fresh one every time you dose.
units
the numbers you dial on the pen. a unit is a fixed step of liquid, not a millilitre and not a milligram. how much bac water you added decides what each unit is worth, which is what the calculator works out.

the walkthrough

  1. 1

draw. screw a long needle onto a syringe. pull the plunger to your number, push that air into the bac water vial, turn it over and pull the bac water in slowly. then put the needle through the middle of the powder vial’s rubber top and let the water run down the inside of the glass. never spray it straight onto the powder.

  2. 2

filter. draw all of the clear liquid back into the syringe. take the needle off, screw a filter on in its place, then a fresh needle on the far side of it. the liquid is not filtered yet. it filters as you push it into the cartridge. a new filter each time you mix.

  3. 3

fill. wipe the cartridge neck and stand it in its well. push a bare needle through the rubber and leave it there, so trapped air has a way out. put the filter needle through the same rubber and press slowly, one smooth pass, letting the filter do the work. pull the filling needle out first, then the vent.

  4. 4

dose. slide the cartridge into the pen, narrow end first, and twist on a fresh pen needle. hold the pen tip up, dial a little and press until a drop appears, then dial your number and give it. the used needle goes in a sharps bin.

03 · what mira sends · and what it does not

devices and sundries. nothing else.

mira sends the same supplies a clinician would hand you, organized properly and explained honestly. the compound and the bac water come from your clinician or your own source. that line is deliberate, and it protects everyone standing on either side of it.

what mira sends

  • reusable pens
  • sterile pen cartridges
  • hypodermic and pen needles, color coded by step
  • sterile filters, included by default
  • branded alcohol prep pads
  • education, and a medical advisor

what mira does not

  • no compounded medications
  • no bacteriostatic water as a default kit component
  • no vendor names in branded copy
  • no medical advice, and no dosing recommendations
  • no claims we cannot stand behind

this is not a limitation to work around. it is the reason the rest of the box can be this good.

does mira sell compounds or prescriptions?

no. mira sells FDA-cleared medical devices, sterile consumables and educational content. the compound and the bacteriostatic water are sourced separately by you. the positioning is intentional: it keeps mira clearly on the right side of regulation, and it keeps you in control of where your supplies come from.

why is filtration included by default?

sterile filtration is the single most useful safety upgrade for anyone reconstituting at home, and a mixed vial can look perfectly clear while carrying what a filter removes. most suppliers sell filters as an add-on. every mira box includes them, because it should never be a line item you can decline.

how long does the box last?

that depends entirely on your own vial and the dose you were given, so mira will not print a number here and hope it fits. put your numbers into the calculator and it tells you how the box maps onto your schedule. the pen, the tray and the carry stay with you. the refill replaces the consumables.

is the kit discreet?

the outer mailer and the box carry only the lowercase wordmark. no medical iconography, no descriptive text, nothing on the outside that says what is on the inside. the carry pouch is made to slip into a tote without asking a question.

i have never reconstituted anything. is this over my head?

no. the inside of the lid is a full illustrated walkthrough, every step in order, with the mistakes worth avoiding marked clearly. the tray is numbered in the same order, so the box itself tells you what comes next, and a code on the card opens the filmed library.

do you ship internationally?

mira ships within the united states today. canadian shipping is being worked on, and the waitlist at the bottom of this page is where that gets announced first.

can i return the box?

for sanitary reasons opened kits are not returnable. unopened kits can be returned inside the window listed in shipping and returns, less return postage. any kit with a manufacturing or shipping defect is replaced, no questions asked.
